Sea, Steps and History

Here are my three images for today.

Image #1 "Simple Beauty" :- Right time, right place. I just happened to be on the cliff top just as the sun was setting and twilight was beginning to take hold. The sky had a wonderful oil pastel look and feel to it over the English Channel. Well ok ... I did aim to be on the cliff top at sundown but I had no idea it was going to look like this.

Image #2 "Step In Time" :- This set of steps is 1930's built. In fact a large percentage of Saltdean on the south coast of England s 1930's built. It makes you think and wonder just how many people have gone up and down these steps. All the different fashions and styles they've witnessed. Like a lot of things I wish they could talk.

Image #3 "Keep It Dark" :- Here's an image of Lewes Castle at night in the ancient and historical Saxon town of Lewes, Sussex, England. The castle was built in 1069 by William de Warenne who was the brother-in-Law of William the Conqueror. In 1075 the King appointed Warenne joint Chief Justiciar, and soon after that he became the first Earl of Surrey.
